Responsibilities

• Practice to the full extent of your license and offer a wide variety of services including:
• - Completing eye exams for glasses and contacts
• - Diagnosing and treating eye diseases and abnormalities
• - Conducting and evaluating diagnostic testing
• - Removing foreign bodies from the eye
• - Writing prescriptions
• - Counseling patients and other health professionals on eye health issues
• - Communicating with doctors, staff, and patients

Qualifications

• - Doctor of Optometry (O.D.) Degree
• - Current CA Optometric License
• - Current DEA Certification
