Unique opportunity for Optometrist to join community health center environment.
You will be working alongside our seasoned optometrist performing complete eye exams and coordinating care with our multidisciplinary teams. We serve a diverse patient population from all racial, ethnic, social and socioeconomic backgrounds for routine eye exams (glasses and contact lenses) to complex medical ophthalmic exams. Our patients range in age from children to geriatrics.
Our eye clinic maintains an autorefraction machine, topography machine, an automated visual field machine, fundus camera and OCT machine.
Responsibilities
- You will be expected to diagnose and manage all types of eye diseases, including but not limited to glaucoma, diabetic retinopathy, red eyes of all types, eye injuries and many other ocular conditions. The position provides a challenging but rewarding career opportunity.
Qualifications
- - Graduate of an accredited School of Optometry
- - Licensed in Washington State or the ability to get licensed in Washington State
- - Preference given to residency-trained optometrist or optometrist with 3 years’ relevant work experience, but will consider new graduates.
Skills
- Additional experience that would be helpful, but not required:
- - Bilingual Spanish, Arabic, or other languages.
- - Experience with EMR systems (current system is athena)
